With the Warriors, AD & Jarred Vanderbilt Make a BIG Impact! Analyzing the Los Angeles Lakers’ Victory

The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off one of the biggest wins of their season, and Anthony Davis scored a huge 39 points. eight rebounds and six assists 14 for 25 from the field and 10 for 13 from the line he was getting to the free throw line very well he was aggressive in the pain his mid-range jumpers were falling he even had a three that he hit he had an overall great game the play making was good too out there with six assists he was able to find his teammates for good looks because obviously the Warriors knew Anthony Davis was going to be the main threat for the Lakers and as a result of that he was able to open things up for his teammates look at a guy like Austin Reaves who ended up dropping 16 points tonight he also shot three of five from the three-point line and added on eight assists of his own Reeves has been really good.

Especially I feel like over the stretch of the last six or seven games and Jarred Vanderbilt has been amazing for the Lakers ever since he touched down in LA and started playing games for the team today he had 10 points and 13 rebounds in less than 24 minutes and I really wonder why he isn’t getting more minutes in the rotation  Troy Brown Jr. played over 41 minutes in this one, and he was good—don’t get me wrong, he shot four of seven from the three-point line and scored 14 points.

he also had some nice rebounds but I’m just wondering why Jared Vanderbilt with his energy and with his hustle and the urgency he brings which is exactly what the Lakers need given the spot that they’re in they need to get into the play-in or the playoffs ideally but at this point I think a play and spot especially at that seven or eight seed would be good for the team considering where they’re at and how many games are left in the season regardless Jarred Vanderbilt is a guy who brings that energy makes those hustle plays and the 10 points in 13 rebounds don’t tell the full story he also had a couple assists he had four assists out there and really I felt like he set the tone coming out of the game he was aggressive opening up, and he was able to get some shots to go for himself and then also he was able to create some looks for his teammates but less than 24 minutes when you had a guy grabbing 13 rebounds and that little bit amount of time yeah I’m not really sure as to why he didn’t get more run in the rotation  I also want to talk about Dennis Schroeder time and time again has come up with these big plays for the Lakers this game was a rough one for him I was watching, and I was wondering why Darvin ham hadn’t gone to somebody else at the guard spot at this point in the game he was struggling but then in the fourth quarter he came alive he hit a big three in the corner that I can remember.

I think it put the Lakers up like five points I could be wrong on that, but he hit a big three he had a couple nice assists he also played some good defence and down the stretch he came up big once again so Darvin Hamas really trusted him in the rotation but it seems like time and time again Dennis Schroder has made those big plays for the team and signing him to a minimum contract was an absolute steal same thing goes for Troy Brown Jr he’s played big minutes for the Lakers this season and has also had some really good games  Malik Beasley only shot four threes in this one.

I feel like he should shoot more as a volume shooter; he ends up going one for four, but I think he’ll continue to make an impact when it comes to his floor spacing for the Lakers. Even if he isn’t a guy who’s hitting a tonne of shots on a given night, he’s going to bring his gravity and that’s going to create looks for his teammates regardless.

He struggled a bit in this one and ended up playing a little over 20 minutes on the night, making two from the three-point line and one for five from the field, but overall since joining the Lakers, I think he has made a positive impact. Lonnie Walker IV goes three for nine in this one, and I’m kind of wondering about Lonnie Walker IV. He has had some solid offensive games, but he struggled a bit here. There’s definitely been some inconsistency in his game. Also, another guy I want to talk about is Mo Bamba, who ended up getting hurt early in this one. He only played a little over two minutes on the night, and I’m assuming that’s because of the injury, but I hope he’s doing okay because he has had some solid nights for the Lakers most notably when Anthony Davis and LeBron James were both out.

He ended up starting at the centre spot, hit some threes, got some rebounds, and was overall really good for the Lakers. He was also really good for the Lakers in that game, where Gabriel didn’t play too much but got some rebounds. Fouls are definitely an issue for Wendy and Gabriel. He plays with a lot of energy, but sometimes that can just lead to him getting more fouls, and I pretty much talked about everybody who played in the rotation tonight.

Max Christie is a guy who’s out of the rotation and I’m curious if he’ll get any more run throughout it throughout the season. It’s kind of unfortunate to see what’s happened with him in the rotation because I feel like for a 19-year-old he has so much poise as a three and D player, and he can shoot it really well. I hope he gets at least a few more looks in the rotation, especially if other guys are cold. I think he could provide some shooting for the team.
