It's unfortunate that the Lakers' talented player, Mo Bamba, will be out for at least four weeks with a high ankle sprain.
This type of injury is extremely common in basketball and can be very painful and debilitating.
It usually occurs when the foot is planted and the leg is twisted, causing damage to the ligaments that connect the two lower leg bones.
Recovery time from this type of sprain varies and Mo Bamba will take the necessary time to heal properly before returning to the game.
Rushing back can lead to re-injury and more serious long-term damage.
In the meantime, the Lakers' other players must take up the mantle of replacing the missing Mo Bamba.
Hopefully, he will be able to make a full recovery and return to the court soon.
