According to legal documents cited by TMZ, Williamson issued a general denial of the claims and maintains that he did not assault or cause harm to the plaintiff, identified in the case as Jane Doe.

Zion Williamson Disputes the Allegations

In his legal response, Williamson reportedly characterized the relationship as a “friends with benefits” arrangement. He claims their interactions were consensual and that the two never lived together.

Williamson also disputes allegations of sexual assault and battery. According to his filing, the relationship was casual and had ended by May 2023. He further claims that the woman frequently initiated intimacy while he was often unavailable or traveling.

These statements represent Williamson’s position in the case and have not been established as findings by a court.

Legal Team Challenges Claims and Jurisdiction

Williamson is also challenging the legal basis of several claims, including assault, battery, sexual battery, domestic violence and stalking.

His filing reportedly argues that certain claims are barred by the applicable statutes of limitations. He also disputes the use of California laws for alleged incidents said to have occurred in North Carolina, Texas and Louisiana.

Additionally, Williamson challenges the domestic violence claim, arguing that the two never lived together and did not have the type of relationship he believes would support that allegation.

Lawsuit Allegations Remain Disputed

The lawsuit, filed by Jane Doe, accuses Williamson of rape and other alleged misconduct over a period of several years. Williamson has denied the accusations previously and has alleged that the lawsuit is connected to an attempt to extort him.

The plaintiff’s allegations and Williamson’s denials remain competing claims in a civil legal dispute. The allegations should not be treated as proven facts.

Zion Williamson Seeks Dismissal of the Case

Williamson is asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit in its entirety. The latest filing outlines his denial of the allegations and his arguments concerning the legal claims and jurisdiction.

The case remains a legal matter, and the court’s handling of the dismissal request will determine how it proceeds.

The stunning result came at the inaugural Dunkman World Championship, a major event created around competitive dunking and featuring elite high-flyers from around the world.

What Is the Dunkman League?

Dunkman is a professional competition focused entirely on dunking. The league brings together some of the world’s best professional dunkers and gives them a platform to compete in high-level tournaments.

Its flagship event, the Dunkman World Championship, features a multi-stage competition in which top dunkers battle for the championship and a massive $500,000 first prize.

McClung entered the event as one of the biggest names in the competition. He became a major figure among basketball fans after making history as the first player to win three consecutive NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contests.

The league was founded by Shaquille O’Neal, who also serves as its commissioner. Draymond Green was part of the broadcast and commentary team, joined by legendary dunker Vince Carter, basketball creator CashNasty and host Adam Lefkoe.

Cam Hazzard Produces a Stunning Upset

The biggest story of the night belonged to Cam Hazzard, who delivered a remarkable performance to win the inaugural Dunkman World Championship and take home the life-changing $500,000 prize.

The 21-year-old Texas native entered the event without a major championship to his name, making his victory over an established dunking star like McClung even more surprising.

Away from competitive dunking, Hazzard is a finance and accounting student at Abilene Christian University. However, his incredible athletic ability has also helped him establish himself as a professional dunker.

With an impressive reported 50-inch vertical leap, Hazzard has the explosive jumping ability needed to compete with some of the best dunkers in the world.

The Dunk That Stole the Show

Hazzard’s victory was even more remarkable considering he had been recovering from a broken hand earlier in the year.

Despite that setback, he delivered one of the most spectacular moments of the competition with an incredible 360-degree dunk while putting the ball under both legs.

The difficult and creative dunk immediately became one of the standout moments of the event and helped Hazzard produce the performance that secured the championship.

His combination of athleticism, creativity and execution proved enough to overcome the heavily favored McClung.

From Accounting Student to $500,000 Champion

Hazzard’s journey made the result particularly memorable.

At just 21 years old, he is balancing his studies in finance and accounting with a career in professional dunking. Entering the championship without a major title and after dealing with a broken hand earlier in the year, few could have predicted that he would leave the event with the biggest prize of his career.

Instead, Hazzard delivered when the spotlight was brightest.

His performance showed that competitive dunking continues to feature talented athletes outside the traditional world of professional basketball, with specialists capable of producing spectacular moments that can challenge even the NBA’s most famous dunk champions.

Social Media Reacts to Cam Hazzard’s Incredible Dunk

Fans quickly reacted to Hazzard’s performance on social media, with his spectacular dunk generating major excitement.

One fan described the moment as “unreal,” while others praised the creativity and difficulty of the move.

The viral reaction added another memorable chapter to an already remarkable night for Hazzard, who went from being one of the underdogs in the competition to becoming the first-ever Dunkman World Championship winner.

A Major Moment for Competitive Dunking

The inaugural Dunkman World Championship demonstrated the growing popularity of professional dunking as a standalone sport.

With high-profile basketball figures such as Shaquille O’Neal, Draymond Green and Vince Carter involved in the event, the competition attracted significant attention.

However, the night ultimately belonged to Cam Hazzard.

By defeating a three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion and winning $500,000, the young accounting student produced one of the most unexpected and memorable moments in competitive dunking.

Great Britain’s hopes of making a strong run toward EuroBasket 2029 have received a significant boost after several players with NBA and elite professional experience became available for the national team.

Head coach Marc Steutel has assembled one of Great Britain’s most competitive squads in recent years as the team prepares for the next stage of the FIBA EuroBasket 2029 pre-qualifying campaign.

The arrival of players such as Amari Williams, Tosan Evbuomwan and Tobi Lawal adds extra quality, depth and experience to the British roster.

Amari Williams Set for Senior Great Britain Debut

Boston Celtics centre Amari Williams has joined the Great Britain senior squad for the first time.

Williams previously represented Great Britain at youth level and is now returning to the national team setup after several years. His availability gives the squad another strong option in the frontcourt as Britain looks to begin its EuroBasket qualification journey positively.

His development through British basketball, college basketball in the United States and eventually into the NBA represents another important step for British basketball.

Tosan Evbuomwan Brings NBA and European Experience

Another major addition is forward Tosan Evbuomwan, who is preparing for his first senior Great Britain appearance.

Evbuomwan previously spent time in the NBA with multiple teams and has since continued his professional career in Europe, signing with FC Barcelona for the 2026–27 season. His experience at different levels of professional basketball could make him an important part of Great Britain’s plans.

For the Newcastle-born player, representing Great Britain at senior level also marks an important moment in his basketball journey.

Tobi Lawal Adds More Athleticism to the Squad

Great Britain’s roster has also been strengthened by Tobi Lawal, who was selected by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Lawal brings athleticism, rebounding ability and defensive potential to the British team. His presence gives coach Marc Steutel another talented option as Great Britain attempts to build momentum during the qualifying campaign.

The combination of emerging talent and experienced international players could help Great Britain become more competitive against European opposition.

A Crucial EuroBasket 2029 Qualifying Campaign

Great Britain are competing in the preliminary stages of qualification for FIBA EuroBasket 2029.

The team is scheduled to face Switzerland and Slovakia during the qualifying window, with matches home and away forming part of the campaign. A strong performance would move Great Britain closer to the full EuroBasket qualifying rounds.

The August window is particularly important because some players are available during the NBA and European basketball off-season, creating an opportunity for Great Britain to field a stronger squad than it might be able to during the regular club season.

Could OG Anunoby Play for Great Britain?

There is also continued interest surrounding OG Anunoby, the London-born NBA forward who is eligible to represent Great Britain.

Great Britain officials have indicated that communication with Anunoby and his representatives has taken place, although the timing was not right for the current international window. His potential involvement in the future would provide another major boost to the national programme.

While there is no guarantee about when or whether he will join the squad, the possibility highlights Great Britain’s ambition to bring its best available players into the national team setup.

A Positive Moment for British Basketball

The inclusion of players with NBA, EuroLeague, NCAA and other high-level professional experience represents an encouraging moment for British basketball.

For many years, Great Britain has faced challenges in consistently bringing its strongest players together because of club schedules and availability. The current international window has provided an opportunity to change that.

Coach Marc Steutel and the Great Britain Basketball programme now have a deeper pool of talent to work with, combining established international players with a new generation of British prospects.

Conclusion

Great Britain’s EuroBasket 2029 ambitions have received a timely lift through the arrival of talented players with NBA and top-level professional experience.

With Amari Williams and Tosan Evbuomwan preparing to make their senior debuts and Tobi Lawal adding further potential to the roster, the team enters its upcoming fixtures with increased optimism.

The road to EuroBasket 2029 is still long, and success will depend on performances throughout multiple qualifying windows. However, the opportunity to bring more of Britain’s top basketball talent together could mark an important step forward for the national team.
