Novak Djokovic revealed the reason behind shifting to Athens with his family..

Novak Djokovic has relocated from Belgrade to Athens with his wife, Jelena, and their children, Tara and Stefan. In a conversation with CNN Greece, he opened up about the reason behind the move. The Serb explained that Athens offers a deeper connection to history, culture, and religion—factors that played a key role in his decision. He said:

“There is a lot of historical, religious, cultural, social ties between Greece and Serbia that are a big part of the reason why I’m here. It is also because of the weather, the food is incredible, you are on one of the nicest coastlines in Europe, in the world. I just love the lifestyle, you know, and I really feel that the Greek and Serbian people are like brothers, so this is the biggest reason,” said Novak Djokovic.….

“We are as a family trying to see how life goes here and experience. You know, it’s only been less than two months, so we will see how it goes. But so far, as I said, it’s been a very positive experience.”..

Novak Djokovic concluded his season with two titles—the Geneva Open and the Hellenic Championships. Beyond his trophy haul, he also delivered remarkable consistency, reaching the semifinals at all four Grand Slam tournaments.
