So it looks like the Utah Jazz are pretty much going all in on their rebuild and with that they could have some really solid role players, who could be available for a trade this off season, and with that, I feel like the lakers should swoop in and try to make a move, maybe involving Russell Westbrook, if they can’t pull off the Kyrie Irving trade, this would be absolutely huge for the lakers.
And I know they have to give up two future, first round picks in this scenario along with Russell Westbrook and Talen horton tucker, but let me explain to you why this is such a good move, if your Los Angeles you’re bringing in Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson three guys who can all shoot the ball.
The lakers desperately need floor spacing on their roster for this upcoming season. they get that in this trade, you also get a new point guard in Mike Conley who was reliable, he played 72 games last season. so that’s good, you get Bojan Bogdanovic a guy who averaged almost 20 last season Jordan Clarkson who won sixth man of the year during the 2020-2021 season, and he averaged over 18 points per game,
He’s a guy who can get you a bucket he isn’t the most efficient, but if your offense gets stagnant putting in a guy like Jordan Clarkson into the lineup is definitely a way to get it back going, so I feel like that is definitely a positive aspect of his game, and he was a sixth man of the year,
Very recently so that’s also something to note now, let’s talk about Bojan Bogdanovic he had a great year in Utah shooting, almost 40 from three over 18 points per game, he played almost 70 games, I mean there’s a lot to like with, what he did over this past year in Utah Jazz, and he’s on the final year of his deal, so it might make it a bit easier for the lakers to trade for him,then Mike Conley he averaged about 14 points per game,
along with about five assists over this past season, shot over 40 from the three-point line, he’s a guy who could be a reliable point guard for the lakers, and bringing in three guys like Jordan Clarkson Bojan Bogdanovic and Mike Conley would overall just bolster the depth of this roster, three guys who are starting calibre players who all play their role well, I mean this trade would be an absolute steal if you’re the lakers,
And it looks like the Utah jazz are looking for draft capital and if you can get two future first round picks from the lakers who know what they’re gonna be doing in 2027 and 2029 and Utah already got so many picks from the rich bear trade, and they’re probably going to get even more if they do end up trading Donovan Mitchell, so they’ll have a lot of picks to work with and this would only add on to that, and it could really help them, if they do decide to trade Donovan Mitchell, and move towards rebuild, which seems like what they’re looking to do, and for the lakers having three veteran players who could provide you with offense and floor spacing would be huge.
