At Madison Square Garden, the Los Angeles Lakers seemed to be going into the half trailing the New York Knicks by four. Just before the break, the Knicks added a basket with 3.3 seconds on the clock.
LeBron James opted to pass the in-bounds to Dennis Schröder with one second remaining, and in that moment, something spectacular happened. Schröder, with no time to set his feet, caught the ball and, without hesitation, heaved a shot from halfcourt – and it went in!
Schröder made a remarkable bank shot from half-court at Madison Square Garden. He didn’t even wait to see if it would go in – instead, he turned his back before it left his hands. It was a crazy shot, and the reactions from Schröder and Immanuel Quickley were incredible. This has to be one of the best – if not the craziest – shots ever attempted at the Garden!
Schröder’s and Quickley’s reactions were phenomenal. The Lakers are now only one point behind at the half, looking to maintain the energy from Schröder’s shot for the second-half. It was an exhilarating way to go into halftime.
