Gordon hayward’s contract is seen as a deterrent if the Los Angeles Lakers were to make a trade with the Charlotte Hornets, a potential trade and what it could look like if the Los Angeles Lakers don’t want to take on hayward’s contract now Terry Rozier is a guy who the Los Angeles Lakers have been interested in for quite some time now it makes sense as to why I mean Terry Rozier is a guy who can shoot the three ball he provides a ton of offense for a team that really needs that he can space the floor he could be a great guard for this Lakers team.
But Gordon Hayward has had quite a few injury issues he’s a bit of an older player and you can see some concern as to why the Lakers might not want to trade for him with two years remaining on his deal and his injury history but to talk about what a trade could look like without Gordon Hayward you look at potentially trading for Mason Plumlee Kelly outre Jr and Terry Rozier while trading away Russell West brook in a 2027 first-round pick this will give the Charlotte Hornets the opportunity to play some of their young big men more guys like Kai Jones and Mark Williams.
Then also Kelly Ouber Jr being traded away considering that he is going to become a 2023 free agent could be something that the Hornets might be willing to do if the Lakers were going to be giving them that 2027 first-round pick as you never know what this Lakers team will look like in 2027 and it could be a very valuable pick.
I’ve talked about Terry Rozier, but he could be an absolute Difference Maker how about a trade where the Lakers add Mason Plumlee Kelly Ouber Jr Terry Rozier and PJ Washington has gotten off to a hot start to the season he has played really well and I think that he could be huge for this Lakers team but you have to wonder if the Hornets would be willing to trade him considering he’s gotten off to such a great start for the Charlotte Hornets team maybe the Lakers would have to give up two future first round picks in this trade scenario to make it happen or maybe Charlotte just wouldn’t be willing to trade PJ ultimately we’ll have to see what happens with these Lakers Hornets trade situation anyways maybe the Lakers would be willing to trade for Gordon Hayward if they could add Terry Rozier and PJ Washington as well in this trade scenario the Lakers would be trading away Russell Westbrook Kendrick Nunn and their 2027 first-round pick this will give the Lakers additional depth on the wing with Gordon Hayward and PJ Washington despite hayward’s injury issues when he’s available he is a good shooter, and he can provide you with a significant amount of scoring and this trade would help the Lakers out a ton offensively in my opinion even if Hayward did have those injury issues guys like Rozier and Washington could be huge helps for the Lakers.
