Injuries have been an issue for the Charlotte Hornets this season there was an injury early on to Lamelo Ball that caused him to miss time and the Charlotte Hornets have struggled this season to get wins.
The Hornets are getting even more bad news with Kelly ubray Jr missing four to six weeks he’s been having a great season this year and it’s a really unfortunate loss but at this point it might be time for the Charlotte Hornets to decide to tank this season and try to get a good draft pick.
And when you look at Terry Rozier a guy who’s with the Charlotte Hornets he’s a veteran player on a long-term deal and you also look at Gordon Hayward another player for the Hornets who’s a veteran and has more than a year left on his contract.
I think that they could be good trade targets for the Los Angeles Lakers and I think it’d be pretty easy for the Los Angeles Lakers to potentially trade for these guys if the Hornets decided to rebuild because there’s been reports in the past about the Charlotte Hornets potentially being interested in trading for Russell Westbrook Rogue and when you look at Russell Westbrook he could provide the Hornets with some more cap flexibility.
If the Lakers were willing to take on the long-term deals of Hayward and Rozier then the Hornets could be left with some cap space in the 2023 off season to potentially look at signing some new free agents maybe they could find some young players in free agency who they might want to add and could help them with their rebuild LeBron James Dropped 43 points last night, and he’s been playing great basketball that’s all the more reason for the Los Angeles Lakers to make a trade like this if they could add Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward while trading away Russell Westbrook in a protected first-round pick it would give LeBron James some more options to pass to on offense some guys who could space the floor.
And we’ve seen far too often the Lakers offense grows stagnant when LeBron James Goes to the bench that’s why you’re seeing really high minute totals from LeBron lately most recently 40 minutes against Charlotte who the Lakers faced last night you can expect a guy who’s 38 years old in year 20 to continue to play those heavy minutes and stay healthy simultaneously he’s already had some injury issues over the past couple years.
So I just don’t understand why the Lakers are putting so much on him and if the Lakers were to trade for Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier it could give the Lakers some guys who could create their own shots and help the offense stay moving even when LeBron James is out of the game Russell Westbrook has been able to do a good job of that in his six-man role.
But if you could add two options who you could go to that could really help out the Lakers when it comes to their depth within Anthony Davis injury return potentially looming and LeBron James playing such great basketball I just think it would make a lot of sense for the Lakers to make some type of move to improve their roster it’s not too late for the Lakers to try to at least make a play and push or maybe even a playoff push I know that they’re pretty far below 500 but if they could put together a win streak Anything could happen.
