I think Serge Ibaka could be a great trade candidate for the Los Angeles Lakers, when you look at the fact that him and the Bucks are working together to find a trade.
And he’s also on a manageable deal, that I feel like the Lakers could easily match salary for, and he’s a guy who could provide them with some additional size we saw the issue of size really come into play against the Memphis Grizzlies, I know the Lakers probably got their biggest win of the Season against Memphis, but the offensive rebounding that Memphis was able to execute out there was inexcusable for the Lakers the amount of boards tha,t that Memphis team was getting was absolutely crazy and if the Lakers could go out there and trade for a guy like Serge Ibaka Who Could Be an interior presence and also potentially step out hit a couple threes for you score inside efficiently.
I feel like he could be a solid addition the Lakers could definitely use that size like I said that Memphis game the rebounding was really bad for La they were able to pick things up down the stretch of the game, but they could have won in more convincing fashion had they have gotten more of those rebounds.
And also when you look at the fact that the Lakers have pretty much completely cut Damian Jones out of the rotation and Thomas Bryan he was on a hot streak for a while for the Lakers he was playing really well but that slowed down a bit maybe a guy like Ibaka could be a solid Edition for this team as you can see last season he didn’t put up crazy numbers.
But they were definitely solid, and he was almost at 38 from the three-point line, so he could be a serviceable shooter from three it’s not like he’s taking a ton of attempts, he was under two attempts per game, but he could definitely be a guy who could hit those threes for you provide some additional versatility to the lineup give Anthony Davis room to operate in the paint and with the Lakers not looking to make any big deals.
I feel like a trade for Serge Ibaka could definitely be a smaller move that the Lakers make potentially you could just trade one of your guys who’s on a minimum contract try and look to Serge Ibaka that way I don’t think that trading for surge should be that hard given that he hasn’t been getting many minutes for the Milwaukee Bucks this season and with an Anthony Davis return looming I think that some of their size problems will be helped by Anthony Davis coming back but you can’t just completely rely on Davis for all of your rebounding.
When he’s off the floor you’re gonna need guys who can get those boards and I think Ibaka could do that for you if you can make a trade firm without giving up any picks it seems like a no-brainer move to me because you look at the fact that you could just get another guy who could potentially help you out.
I think it could be a solid move for this Lakers team as they look to build momentum off of a really big win against the Memphis Grizzlies they’ve got the Portland Trail Blazers tonight this can be an important game for Western Conference seating the Blazers are near the Lakers in the standings so a win could move things for LA and help them out as they look to work their way into the play-in OR potentially playoff picture in a tightly packed Western Conference.
