Lakers rumors: Lakers Want Cap Space to Add Kyrie, Lakers Kyrie Irving Signing Upadate.

The Los Angeles Lakers are prioritizing the future despite the fact that LeBron James is 37 years old and will turn 38 in this upcoming season. But why would they do that especially with LeBron James committing more years to the franchise through a contract extension well it might be because they think they have an avenue too significantly improve their roster in the 2023 off season.

So with Kyrie Irving he is going to be a free agent in the 2023 off season and the Los Angeles Lakers are projected to have 32.8 million in cap space assuming that they retain Austin Rivers restricted rights which means they would have a lot of cap space to try to sign Kyrie Irving and right now they’re trying to hang on to those picks they’re trying to it looks like not take on future money so that they can have room to sign a star-free agent but there is something you have to consider with this first of all this upcoming season could end up being a rough one because the lakers are reluctant to trade those future picks.

And also the Los Angeles Lakers would only have four players under contract for the 2023-24 season assuming Damian jones picks up his player option so while all that cap space looks good you still have to fill out an entire roster and if you sign a guy like Kyrie Irving to a big contract then you’re not going to have cab space to work with to sign additional players for depth and you’re going to have to work with minimum contracts to fill out your roster.

So i feel like that’s where things could get difficult if you’re the Los Angeles Lakers but when you look at a trade for Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson and Malik Beasley potentially i feel like this type of trade could significantly improve the lakers roster now they might have to include two future first round picks to get it done but i think having guys like Jordan Clarkson, Malik Beasley and Bojan Bogdanovic would significantly benefit.

The Los Angeles Lakers especially from a spacing standpoint the lakers could use more guys who could shoot the ball and i think that these guys could help the lakers with that now another trade that i think would be especially good after recently signing Dennis Schroder would be adding buddy hield to myles turned, buddy hield and myles turned could help the lakers with two things they need shooting and defense myles turned is a good floor spacing center and he’s also one of the best defensive players in the entire league buddy hield is a three-point sharpshooter and he is a guy who could help space the floor at a high Level for the Los Angeles Lakers.
