The Pistons made what I thought was a really good move adding bogdanovic in a trade for Kelly Olynyk and Saben Lee and this has me wondering have the Lakers made a huge mistake in these trade talks with the Utah Jazz.
Because it seems like the Pistons made a really good move considering the players they traded and it looks like the Utah Jazz were really only getting picks that could have been later first rounders and that involve long-term salaries Russell Westbrook is on an expiring contract and if the Lakers had the opportunity to add Bojan bogdanovic along with some of the other Utah Jazz role players while only trading away one future first-round pick I feel like they made a really big mistake in not doing that.
A recent article published by Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report named the Los Angeles Lakers as a loser are between the Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons Bojan bogdanovic trade and I have to agree because let’s say they waited, and they kept Talen Horton Tucker on their roster, and they traded both him and Kendrick none to add Bojan bogdanovic I feel like that could have been a realistic type of trade considering the trade that went down today where the Detroit Pistons ended up adding bogdanovic but now the Lakers are left in a really tough spot because they need an Avenue to at least add some more Wings to their roster and try to add some guys who can fit better get some more shooting get some more defense and the season is approaching very quickly not to mention LeBron James will be 38 in this upcoming season.
They need to get help right now and it seems like they could end up waiting until the 2023 off-season missing out on a guy like Bowie on bogdanovic who is not only a good three-point shooter but a good shot Creator a guy who averaged almost 20 money over this past season looks like a huge mistake for the Lakers Bojan bagdanovic was also said to be a 2023 free agent so the Lakers wouldn’t have had to even take on any long-term salary if they were to add him now they might have had to take on some other longer term deals from the Utah Jazz.
But like I said maybe earlier on if they had decided not to trade for Patrick Beverley they could have gone out and added Bojan bogdanovic in a trade for Taylor Horton Tucker and Kendrick Nunn but now the Lakers are stuck with a rotation that is jam-packed with guards and while I do think the addition of Dennis Schroder was good and also training for Patrick Beverley was a good move for the Lakers you have to wonder how the rotations are going to work out.
