The Lakers will be playing their final preseason game and Russell Westbrook will be coming off of the bench followed by this news we saw reports verified reports from woes from Shams that the Lakers have started to inquire again about a Russell Westbrook trade with the teams.
That were interested and my guess is its teams like Indiana San Antonio here’s the thing man so far in preseason I’ll tell you a couple of things I think that in the off-season in general the Lakers going out and getting Patrick Beverley and Dennis Schroder and also Kendrick Nunn coming back healthy these are all three extremely underrated moves by the Lakers.
I don’t think that coming into the off-season they were anticipating you know Dennis Schroder being able to just sign in Dennis should earn free agency after the phenomenal way he looked in Euro league this summer Patrick Beverley being available via trade because of Rudy Gobert getting shipped off to Minnesota and Beverly is now on a young rebuilding team.
There’s not much of a role for him so my point is this Lakers have four regards now I really think from here on out the Lakers are in a good position because if Russell Westbrook’s coming off the bench the way Beverley’s played ion and the way Lonnie Walker looks in preseason that honestly might be perfectly fine Russel you know Russell Off the Bench is actually a little intriguing so a lot of people will be watching tonight with a close eye.
Because you know it’s kind of intriguing you know the Lakers bench the Lakers depth is not that good right now I will see it coming off of the bench it’s it doesn’t look great if you know I think they’re like a piece away like if Mello were to come back for another season for a final season with Los Angeles you know I think they finally have that scoring .
So seeing Russell on the bench makes me feel a lot better about the bench unit a lot better about the bench unit because Russell has taken you know some not great teams all the way into the playoffs before you can really put them on the back and just because you’re coming off the bench doesn’t mean Russ isn’t going to see 25-30 minutes a night he might even close games who know we’ll see.
But while the Lakers look into trades we’re gonna get a good feel of Russ Off the Bench with the regular season starting next week in tonight’s game another thing to note is this so say Ross Off the Bench doesn’t work all right well that’s fine because you have three guards right two new acquisitions and Kendrick Nunn coming healthy, and we all know Point LeBron James is a thing the depth that you will get from San Antonio whether it’s Josh Richardson and Doug McDermott or if it’s the Utah Jazz and it’s you know Mike Conley, Rudy Gay and Malik Beasley or it’s Indiana TJ McConnell, Buddy Hield, Myles Turner they all give the Lakers much valuable depth much-needed depth so it’s a win-win Russell Works Off the Bench cool.
Maybe we’ll run with that for the season Russell doesn’t work Off the Bench cool we’ll trade you and we’ll get some depth I think the Lakers are in a really good spot right now.
