The Lakers have signed LJ Figueroa and Shaquille Harrison to training camp deals while waving Dwayne bacon and Javante McCoy but the NBA released an article talking a bit about their games.
Where Shaquille Harrison really excels is on the defensive side, he was the g-league defensive player of the year now the only issue I see is that he is six foot four 195 pounds he’s not exactly the type of player the Lakers need right now as they already have a very crowded backcourt he’s also not the best floor space.
He did win the g-league dpoy, so he can bring something defensively but I’m just not sure that he really would have a role in the Lakers rotation with the crowded backcourt and I’m not really sure why the Lakers are signing guards to give them a chance in their roster because it just seems like they’ll never be able to get that role that they need to really Excel now the Lakers did sign LJ Figueroa who is six 200 pounds he has played in the G League a bit.
He has some solid numbers there he’s a guy who can shoot the ball pretty well he’s a solid Defender and as a wing on the Lakers roster maybe he could actually find a role in the rotation the Lakers are desperately in need of some wings in my opinion and maybe LJ Figueroa can fit that role especially as a younger player who has upside.
I think that he could be a guy who could help the Lakers out now the Lakers also do have Cole swider who has been solid throughout preseason and his three-point shooting at six foot nine could prove to be valuable for the Lakers he’s currently on a two-way deal with the team.
