Now that LeBron James has committed to the Los Angeles Lakers long term they’re willing to trade those 2027 and 2029 first round picks if they can be contenders in this upcoming season.
A move for Kyrie Irving and Kelly Oubre jr could be exactly the type of move that the lakers need to get back to that contender status but how could they pull it off that’s what we’re going to look at in this video as it was reported that the relationship between Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn nets isn’t the best and with Kevin Durant trying to force his way out of Brooklyn if Kevin Durant leaves Brooklyn then Kyrie Irving could end up getting traded after and with that the lakers could have a chance to add him to the roster.
But another guy who could get traded is Kelly Oubre Jr it looks like the Charlotte hornets could look at some potential trades for Kelly Oubre Jr he does become a free agent in the 2023 off season but trading for Kelly Oubre Jr would be a great move for la he could add three-point shooting athleticism and defense three things that the lakers need in this upcoming season the lakers need help on the offensive side of the ball they need to add more defenders they need more wings kelly Obre jr could check all those boxes for the lakers, so here’s the trade scenario because it was reported yesterday that the Brooklyn nets would like to add win now talent in a potential Kyrie Irving trade.
So with that a trade like this where they bring in Terry Rozier and Mason Plumlee could allow them to add some guys who can help them compete right now and then the Los Angeles Lakers would trade away Russell Westbrook along with two future first round picks, and they’d be adding Kyrie Irving and kelly Oubre jr even if the lakers can’t pull off a trade for kyrie I definitely think that they could use additional wing depth and if the Charlotte hornets are looking to trade Kelly Oubre jr he could be a perfect candidate for this roster he can also bring some youth to the team that the lakers have been looking for this off season by signing a lot of younger players in free agency.
Kyrie Irving on the lakers would really help out the team, but they would need some additional depth and kelly Oubre jr could help bring that plus in this trade scenario you wouldn’t be trading away Kendrick Nunn or tht so you’d have those guys as well on the roster and maybe you look at potential tht trades or you keep thc and Kendrick not on the roster i do think that Kendrick Nunn can bring a lot as a backup point guard offensively he had a really good season prior to his injury and with a whole year off to recover he should be back and healthy and i think he’ll be able to make a big impact in the lakers rotation so with him back if you’re able to add kyrie you can add another wing to the roster the lakers could be well positioned to try and compete for a championship especially with that star power of kyrie lebron and Anthony Davis.
