The Los Angeles Lakers signed Dennis Schroeder to a one-year 2.64 million dollar deal to return to the team.
We’re going to be looking at the Los Angeles Lakers updated roster as a result of signing Dennis Schroder they have quite a few guards on the team and we’re going to discuss how that could impact their future moves, so the Los Angeles Lakers after the Patrick Beverley trade had Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley as their point guards now Dennis Schroder also gets into the mix and at the sugar they had, Lonnie Walker Kendrick Nunn and Austin Reeves and I would argue that Kendrick nuns a bit more of a one.
But regardless if you’re going to run them at the two that gives a little more minutes to some players in a jam-packed point guard rotation and at the small forward, the Lakers have LeBron and Troy Brown Jr at the power forward the Lakers have Anthony Davis Joan Toscano Anderson and Wayne Gabriel and then at Center they of Thomas Bryant Damien Jones and Jay Huff now the Los Angeles Lakers are left with one open roster spot after signing Dennis Schroder,
It’ll be interesting to see what future moves the Lakers make and how those affect this roster because I just feel like their current roster can’t be what they go into the season with just due to all the guards, they have. I mean, maybe they could go small but still I feel like they just have too many guards and there will be too many guys trying to get minutes in the rotation and also, I feel like they have a lot of point guards who are definitely capable of playing some heavy minutes at the point guard spot.
I mean Westbrook Patrick Beverley Kendrick Nunn and Dennis Schroeder are all very good point guards so I’m just not really sure where the Lakers are going to move from here there have been rumors of a potential Russell Westbrook trade throughout the entirety of the off-season, essentially so I wonder if the Lakers are going to look to trade Russell Westbrook after this move or maybe they look to trade Kendrick none to find a new Wing to add to the team.
But I think it wouldn’t be the best idea to trade Kendrick none because who knows what he’s capable of in this upcoming season and I don’t think that teams will be that interested in adding him, considering he’s coming off an entire missed season due to injury so really that could leave Russell Westbrook is odd man out and maybe signing Dennis Schröder leads to the Los Angeles Lakers trading Russell Westbrook or maybe they somehow figure it out when their rotation and five minutes for all of these guards, maybe they go small. I’m just not really sure how it’s going to play out.
It’ll definitely be interesting to see, but I think that signing Dennis Schroder was definitely a solid move, especially considering the deal that they gave him I think that he can play some productive six-man minutes for the Los Angeles Lakers potentially depending on what his role ends up being we’ll just have to see like I said, it’s going to be interesting to see who gets those minutes.
