A few days ago we saw the lakers make their first trade of the off season, adding patrick Beverley to their roster but is there still more room to improve.
I think so the lakers could make a trade, where they add in Bojan bogdanovic, myles turner, and buddy hield, if they were to make a move like this i feel like they could easily be a top three seed in the western conference, Bojan bogdanovic is a great scorer, buddy hield can space the floor very well, myles turner is going to defend the interior, i mean these guys can bring a lot to the table, but how could the lakers pull it off well if the lakers were willing to trade Russell Westbrook along with two future first round picks to the Indiana Pacers, they could probably get a trade for myles turner and buddy Hield done, But where it gets more complicated is when you get Bojan Bogdanovic into the mix, i mean Bojan bogdanovic averaged almost 20 points per game over this past season, and although, he’s getting older and on an expiring deal, i think there probably would be some contenders who are interested in trading for him, i mean it was reported that the lakers were interested in trading for patrick Beverley and Bojan bogdanovic, ultimately they got the deal for patrick Beverley done, we’ll have to see if they can add bogdanovic to the team as well, because i think he can make a really big impact like i said.
But if the lakers were to trade Kendrick Nunn in some future second round picks would that be enough to get the trade done, I’m not sure now they could trade a pick swap in 2028 essentially trading even more draft capital for immediate improvement onto their roster, maybe if the Utah Jazz got a 2028 first-round pick swap, they would be more inclined to trade bogdanovic and that could be a better offer for the lakers to try to add him to the team.
But with these players added to the roster you would be looking at a starting five with patrick Beverley, buddy hield, lebron anthony davis and myles turner, and then off the bench you would have guys like bogdanovic, i think that signing Dennis Schroeder, if they were to make a move like this to add some additional depth at the point guard spot would be a good move, you’d also have austin Rivers, Thomas Bryant, Damian jones, Juan toscano Anderson, troy brown jr, just overall a lot of depth on the roster.
I think that this move could make the lakers a championship contender, i mean even just adding myles turner and buddy hield to the roster, i think would make the lakers in the mix, when it comes to contenders but if you could also add bogdanovic, i mean that would be huge for the roster.
With the lakers potentially looking to trade Russell Westbrook after the move for patrick Beverley, i think that this would be one of the best possible moves you could make if your Lakers, because it seems like a Kyrie Irving trade is out of the picture for the lakers at this point, so making a move like this where you add quality role players rather, than going all in on star power could be a good move for the lakers.
Then maybe you look to add in some additional free agents to fill out the roster, i think that adds some insurance at the center position and also as an instant offense guy off the bench DeMarcus Cousins, could be a great addition for Lakers.
