If the Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a trade to add myles turner and buddy hield in addition to patrick Beverley.
Who they recently traded, for they could be looking at a lineup that in my opinion could compete for a top four seed in the western conference but how can they make that happen, so when you talk about patrick Beverley, him joining the team was really big, when it comes to the lakers floor spacing based on his three-point shooting numbers, he should be one of the Los Angeles Lakers, the best three-point shooters in this upcoming season.
When you look at potentially adding myles turner and buddy hield, that could further bolster not only the lakers three-point shooting, but their defense with myles turner, being one of the best defenders in the league. i know buddy hield, can’t bring too much on the defensive side but you have a defensive specialist guard in patrick Beverley, who can help you on that end and in the trade.
The lakers ended up trading Stanley Johnson and tht, and they only added patrick Beverley so that brings their roster down to 13 roster spots, so what that means is they have two open spots, if they want to make any additions in free agency, but when you’ll get a lineup of patrick Beverley, buddy hield, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and myles turner, i feel like you really get a good mix of offense and defense, i know that LeBron James throughout the regular season.
Probably won’t be playing as good of defense as, he will be in the playoffs because, i mean he’s going to be 38 years old he probably just wants to conserve some of his energy for the playoffs, but if the lakers can make it into the playoffs, and they have all these veteran guys locked in on the defensive side things, could go really well for them and with patrick Beverley, being excited to join the lakers.
I think he’s going to bring a ton of energy and effort to the team and overall the depth of this roster was bolstered by the move to add patrick Beverley, because a defensive guard is something that the lakers needed, if they were to trade Russell Westbrook for myles turner and buddy hield, i feel like you’d be looking at a really good rotation with a ton of guys, who could play impactful rotational minutes now how could the lakers make that happen well, if they traded Russell Westbrook along with two future first round picks, it seems like they could get the trade done.
With that the lakers might want to attach protections to those picks if they can which basically means let’s say a pick lands in the top five and it has a top five protection then the lakers would get their pick back but maybe the pacers want unprotected picks for both turner and Hield we’ll have to see what happens with that and if the lakers can make another move happen so that they can bolster the depth of this roster and continue to improve after the move that they just made for patrick Beverley that i think was a really good one.
