The Los Angeles Lakers shot 10 for 40 from 3 last night that is 25 here’s what LeBron James had to say after the loss to the Warriors we’re getting great looks but it could also be teams giving us great looks to be completely honest.
We’re not a team constructed of great shooting, and we’re going to talk about a trade where the Lakers could add more shooting, despite good games from LeBron James Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook the Los Angeles Lakers still ended up losing to the Warriors dominated the game anytime the Lakers got close the Warriors just threw their starters back in and it was pretty much over from there the Warriors stared the Lakers to shoot the Lakers couldn’t hit their shots adding a shooter like Buddy Hield who is one of the best volume three-point Shooters in the entire league would be huge for the Lakers and adding a shot blocking Center in Myles Turner who can step out and shoot the three would be huge for the Lakers and in this trade scenario.
If they were to only give up one future first-round pick along with some future second round picks while trading away Russell Westbrook I think he could be a good move for them now even if they had to give up those two future first round picks I think that the Lakers should try and make the trade happen regardless.
But anyways let’s go ahead and let’s continue on let’s talk about some more of the issues for the Lakers I know people might try to blame Russell Westbrook for the loss because it seems like Westbrook gets a lot of blame when it comes to this Lakers team sure he struggled a bit last season.
But I feel like overall it’s really just his fit on this roster Westbrook needs guys who can shoot the surrounding ball the Lakers just don’t have guys who can shoot the ball LeBron needs guys who can shoot the surrounding ball the Lakers just don’t have guys who can shoot the ball well they do have guys who can shoot, but they just don’t have enough of them they don’t have enough floor spacing on this roster.
And Westbrook believes that coming off the bench contributed to him tweaking his hamstring in the Kings game and I know some people might be frustrated with that but Westbrook has been a starter for a long time although I do understand that it’s a new role for him, and he might just need to adapt that if this Lakers team is going to work he might just have to come off the bench for the Lakers as this last game we saw a ton of issues with the Lakers first of all I feel like their screening just wasn’t good Anthony Davis wasn’t screaming hard enough he was more of just rolling to the rim.
Also if the Lakers wanted to they could have gone to Damien Jones at the five, but they didn’t even play him and I feel like for screening he could have helped he could have rolled to the rim and gotten some buckets ultimately the Lakers did struggle over this past game and a lot of it was due to that lack of floor spacing the Lakers kind of had to settle for those jumpers from three evens if they weren’t going in because When they went to the rim the warriors were packing the paint because the Lakers just couldn’t hit their jumpers the Lakers might need to make a trade to try and improve their roster but how about signing some free agents to improve their roster.
