The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t trade their 2029 first-round pick, when they traded away Russell Westbrook to add D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jared Vanderbilt so could there be another move out there.
Maybe it could be for Bojan bogdanovic has been having a career year in Detroit even on a team that is a young rebuilding team Bojan bogdanovic has been able to Excel and put up great numbers, he’s been shooting the three ball at a high level and has been the team’s leading scorer so for the Los Angeles Lakers if they could that add that additional three-point shooting and floor spacing to their team after already adding two of the top 15 players in three-point makes in D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley in their recent trade.
They’d be absolutely lethal from a floor spacing standpoint and you’ve probably heard people talk about surrounding, LeBron James with guys who could shoot the three ball and this would be doing exactly that you’d be adding yet another three-point shooter to this roster that just got much better in that aspect with the recent trade, that they made by Donovan Mitchell is a guy who it looks like the Pistons might want to hold on to, but if they could get a hold of one of the Lakers unprotected future first round picks.
Maybe they would be willing to let him go but would the Lakers be willing to give up an unprotected first, because in their most recent trade with the Utah Jazz.
The Minnesota Timber wolves they only gave up a top one through four protected first and that was in 2027. now their pick remaining is even farther down the line in 2029 and if you’re only getting one guy who you can play in your rotation are the Lakers willing to give up that first-round pick, I’m not sure because the Lakers were willing to hold on to their pick for quite some time and it had people wondering if they were going to make a move and ultimately they did but now they’re left with this other first and I’m sure that they’ll be smart with how they move, and they look for trades with it, because they’ve held on it onto it for so long now they had a chance to go out there and make a trade with the Pacers for Myles Turner and Buddy Hield if they traded away both of those first.
They held on to the pigs and now I’m kind of seeing why that trade with the Jazz and Timber wolves was really good considering they only ended up giving up one first that was protected and some future seconds maybe they can have another move like that, if they go ahead and look at trading Patrick Beverley and Lonnie Walker IV along with their remaining future first it was surprising to me that so many good rotational players ended up getting traded for just one protected first-round pick and some future second round picks, I guess it shows the value of those Laker picks so far in the future.
