LeBron James could be out for multiple weeks with that same foot that’s been bothering him this season, and with that, the Los Angeles Lakers still have an open roster spot, and I think that Will Barton could be a great option to fill that spot in the midst of this news. Will Barton is a guy who can shoot the three ball, defend, and also has the size to play on the wing.
The Lakers would likely be looking for a wing player in the absence of LeBron James, and obviously, looking to free agency to find a guy to replace LeBron James is essentially going to be impossible. But if you can find a guy who can at least go out there and play his role, and maybe you promise him some more minutes in the time being since LeBron’s going to be out, that’s the reason he’d be willing to sign, Will Barton could be a really good fit for La I mean, he did start in Denver with the Nuggets, where he played alongside an elite big man in Nikola Jokic, and it’s likely that the Lakers are really going to run things through Anthony Davis in the absence of LeBron, opening up the floor for guys like Will Barton for easy looks if they were to sign him, and the Lakers are really going to need all their role players to step up in the absence of LeBron James, filling the void with production that’s going to be left, and LeBron James’s absence is going to be incredibly difficult.
LeBron is one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game so at least assigning a guy to bring some reinforcements in LeBron’s absence should be something that the Lakers look to do even if it’s not Will Barton they should sign someone they’ve won three in a row, and they need to continue to ride that momentum even if LeBron James is going to be out for extended time that is no excuse it would be a different story if the Lakers were sitting with the top three seed maybe they could say you know what we’ll just leave that roster spot open but right now they need to go out and get somebody who can fill up some of those minutes. They have a solid rotation they have a lot of guys they could go to, but they have a lot of guys that they could go to, but they could say you know what we’ll just leave that roster spot open but right now they could say you know what we’ll just get another player.
They could go to I think that Will Barton might be a little bit better on that end, but regardless, the Lakers should go out and make a move and go out and sign somebody to fill this roster spot in LeBron’s absence. It’s really unfortunate that LeBron could be missing multiple weeks, especially when you consider the fact that the Lakers were really starting to put things together, and they need to put things together if they want to have a chance at a play-in or a playoff spot. Things are really looking up for the Lakers, so hopefully LeBron can get healthy sooner rather than later. In the meantime, they can make a signing to try and at least fill some of the Void of production that’s going to be left in LeBron’s absence.
