Top 7 prize money winners of the 2025 tennis season ft. Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova 

In women’s tennis, five different players captured the Grand Slam titles and the WTA Finals in 2025, making it one of the most competitive seasons in recent years. Aryna Sabalenka held off Iga Świątek to secure the Year-End No. 1 ranking and also finished the season with the highest prize money.

#1 Jannik Sinner – $19.12 million

Jannik Sinner opened the season in style by winning the 2025 Australian Open, earning $2.19 million in prize money. Despite missing three months due to a doping ban, he displayed remarkable consistency throughout the year, capturing six singles titles. His standout moment came at Wimbledon, where he defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the final to claim a record $4.06 million payday.

Sinner lost the US Open title to Carlos Alcaraz but closed out the 2025 season in commanding fashion by winning the ATP Finals in Turin. His triumph at the season-ending event earned him a staggering $5.07 million, helping him top the year’s prize money charts with a total of $19.12 million. In addition to his ATP earnings, the 24-year-old also captured the Six Kings Slam 2025 exhibition event in Riyadh, pocketing another substantial $6 million.

2 Carlos Alcaraz – $18.80 million

Carlos Alcaraz was the standout performer on the ATP Tour in 2025, capturing a tour-leading eight singles titles. He delivered a brilliant clay-court campaign, winning both Monte Carlo and Rome before capping it off with the French Open crown. The Spaniard battled for a record-breaking five hours and 29 minutes to secure the Roland Garros title, earning $2.5 million in prize money.

3 Aryna Sabalenka – $15 million

Aryna Sabalenka finished the season as the Year-End World No. 1 after claiming four WTA singles titles in 2025. The top-ranked star successfully defended her US Open crown, earning a record $5 million in prize money. She also reached the finals of the Australian Open, the French Open, and the WTA Finals, bringing her total earnings to $15 million — nearly five million more than the next highest-earning female player of the year.

#4 Iga Swiatek – $10.11 million

The former World No. 1 had a slow start to the 2025 season but staged a strong comeback to keep the battle for the top prizes wide open. Iga Świątek captured her maiden Wimbledon title, earning her biggest paycheck of the year at $4 million. The Pole also collected more than $500,000 from each of the other three majors and the WTA Finals, finishing the season with total prize money of $10.11 million.

5 Elena Rybakina – $8.46 million

Former World No. 3 Elena Rybakina closed out her 2025 season in spectacular fashion. She reached the US Open fourth round for the first time in her career and followed it up with a title run in Ningbo. Rybakina then shocked the tennis world by capturing the WTA Finals 2025 title with five consecutive wins. Her triumph at the season-ending event in Riyadh earned her $5.2 million — the highest prize money payout in women’s tennis history.

#6 Coco Gauff – $7.97 million

Coco Gauff enjoyed a solid 2025 season, capturing one Grand Slam title and finishing as the Year-End World No. 3 in women’s singles. The top-ranked American claimed her maiden French Open crown, earning $2.9 million in prize money. She also collected around $1 million after helping Team USA win the United Cup. With total earnings of $7.97 million, Gauff finished as the highest-earning American player of 2025.

7 Amanda Anisimova – $7.26 million

Amanda Anisimova delivered a breakout 2025 season, posting a strong 47–18 win–loss record in women’s singles. She reached the finals at both Wimbledon and the US Open, earning a combined $4.5 million from the two majors. Anisimova finished the year ranked World No. 4 and amassed total prize money of $7.26 million — surpassing the earnings of ATP World No. 3 Alexander Zverev ($6.07 million) and top-ranked American Taylor Fritz ($5.49 million).
