Medvedev concluded his 2025 season at the Paris Masters, where he reached the quarterfinals before falling to Alexander Zverev. The German rallied to defeat the Russian 2–6, 6–3, 7–6(5). Shortly after his campaign ended, the World No. 13 headed to the Maldives for a relaxing family vacation.

During this time, he was in his peak form, as he recently qualified for the finals of the US Open, and he dedicated his success to his wife, Daria. Thanking his wife for his constant support, who also played professional tennis till she was 18.

“She [Daria] is my biggest support and helps me in all aspects of life. She was a junior player and did not do too badly. She was in the top 100, maybe even higher, No. 50 or 60. She played till she was 18 and always believed that I could be in the top 10,” said Daniil Medvedev.
