Restricted free agent Miles Bridges could return to the Hornets next month, according to Larry Lage of the Associated Press.
Bridges said, "It's a long process, but I can come back in March."
Bridges returned to Michigan State for Tuesday night's home game against Indiana,
although the former Spartan could still face disciplinary action from the league.
Bridges was arrested last summer and charged with felony domestic violence for allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend in front of their two children
He eventually entered a plea deal with prosecutors in California.
Last month, the Hornets denied any involvement in negotiations with Bridges.
This month, president of basketball operations Mitch Kupchak said the team was still awaiting the outcome of the league's investigation.
Kupchak said, “I don't know when the investigation will end.
When it does, we'll have more information and we'll go from there.
