The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly trying to get into the mix when it comes to Kevin Love and you might be thinking, where is there room for Kevin Love in the Lakers rotation.
I was thinking a similar thing the Los Angeles Lakers unveiled their new rotation prior to the all-star break with LeBron James healthy and their new starting lineup featuring D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, LeBron, Anthony Davis and Jared Vanderbilt the Lakers played very well and with that the Lakers also had guys who fell out of the rotation who previously were pretty important to the team like Lonnie Walker IV and Wenyen Gabriel so where would there be room for a buyout player like Kevin Love well it seems like the Cavaliers don’t want to go to the Eastern Conference in the scenario of a buyout because that would be him going to teams who they’re trying to compete with in their conference and with that could help the Lakers also the Phoenix Suns could be another Suitor but there might not be many minutes for him there.
So the Lakers could potentially offer him maybe not a huge role but there might not be a really big role out there for him maybe a team like the heat could provide him with that but it looks like the Cavaliers don’t want him going to Miami in the scenario of a buyout now when you look at Kevin Love he can still be a solid rotational player in the NBA in the right situation but when you look at the Lakers and how they’ve been playing with their new rotation they had a great first game and the fact that they now have quite a bit of talent on the wing where does Kevin Love really fit into the equation well love as a three-point shooter and also a rebounder could potentially slot in as a stretch Vibe, or he could play the power forward spot but with guys like rui hachimura already off the bench where does he find minutes.
I think that he could be a guy who you could maybe give 10 to 15 minutes here or there or have in the scenario that injuries come up but is there another team that all could offer more of a role for him well in Cleveland he’s been getting dmps, and they’re a team that’s aiming to contend for a championship so maybe there just isn’t the right fit out there especially if the Cavs don’t want him going to an Eastern Conference team but for the Lakers this is a good problem to have I thought that looking into the buyout Market would almost be necessary for La prior to the trade deadline but at this point they have so much depth on their roster that it seems like everything’s going pretty well but in case of injury adding a guy like Kevin Love could be really good and of course LeBron and Kevin Love do have experience playing together so maybe that adds to the chances of the Lakers looking at signing Kevin Love regardless if they could go out and sign him.
I think he could be great as a potential backup a guy who could space the floor for you and rebound I don’t really see the downside of looking into signing Kevin Love, especially if he isn’t going to demand a significant role from the team, and it seems like he’s been a pretty solid presence in Cleveland when it comes to his veteran presence and just being a good guy in the locker room with the team.
