We’ve got some drama in Chicago Zach Lavine and the Bulls are not seeing eye to eye and this is an ideal after Levine signed a five-year contract to remain with the Chicago Bulls this summer there was a blow up at halftime between players on the Bulls after they got blown out by the Minnesota Timber wolves the T wolves put up 150 points in regulation.
And absolutely great game for them with no Rudy Gobert and Karl Anthony towns and for the Bulls this was yet another loss in a disappointing season looking back to last year at one point in the season the Bulls were the number one seed but things have really gone downhill since then with a plethora of injuries most notably is ball getting injured and still not returning to the team he’s had a ton of issues with that injury and also the Bulls ended up losing in the first round of the NBA Playoffs overall it’s been a struggle for this Bulls team that had high expectations they made a big trade for Nicole they made a signing trade to add DeMar DeRozan they signed Lonzo ball in free agency.
They made a ton of moves and got aggressive trying to win an NBA championship but that hasn’t worked out so far obviously we’re not too far into this pool’s team trying to build this big three with Levine DeRozan and Vucevic but it hasn’t worked out so far it looks like vucevic is going to look into free agency at potential other destinations this off-season.
And then you’ve got Zach Lavine who signed that five-year deal but yet we have seen that frustration with him and this is only the first year of that deal and the Bulls are also struggling right now there’s been reports that teams around the league are looking at the Bulls seeing what they’re going to do next to see if they can add players from this Bull’s team.
And if the Lakers had an opportunity to add a guy like Zach Lavine it would be an absolutely huge trade no doubt if they were to trade Russell Westbrook in two future first round picks to add Zach Lavine and also Tony Bradley that would allow the salaries to work now Levine is not able to be traded until January 15th, but we’ve seen the rumors that the Lakers are eyeing big star players.
And it seems like that would be a scenario where they would be willing to part ways with both of their future first round picks that they can trade in 2027 and 2029 so maybe Levine is their guy the guy who they want to trade for or would be willing to give up those picks for personally I don’t think going all in to add a star is the best approach especially a guy in Lavine who’s had a plethora of injury issues I mean you’ve already got LeBron who’s aging you’ve already got Anthony Davis who has his injury issues.
I wouldn’t really want to take the risk on another guy who has injury issues as well, so I just am not sure about trying to add another star I think the Lakers would really benefit from trying to add role players.
