The Utah Jazz are still in trade talks, and they don’t really have any trades that appear to be particularly close but there’s ongoing trade talks with the Lakers and with that it’s important to note that the Utah Jazz have exactly 17 players currently under contract for the upcoming season.
The maximum you’re allowed to have is 15. so if there was a trade that involved three players going to the Lakers have enough roster room to take on all three of those players while only trading away Russell Westbrook also it looks like Dennis Schroder’s great play in euro basket might lead to him playing his way into a contract in the NBA.
So we’re going to be looking at some trades considering the circumstances of this recent report because maybe this could lead to the Lakers getting a more favorable trade here’s one that I think would be great for Lakers, if they traded away Russell Westbrook along with the future first-round pick and two future second round picks maybe they could add Bojan bagdanovic, Jordan Clark son and Malik Beasley I think that these guys could be really good players for the Los Angeles Lakers in this upcoming season.
And in the event that the Lakers ended up making a separate trade involving Kendrick Nunn that’s why I mentioned Dennis Schroder because he could be great for some backup point guard help for the Los Angeles Lakers.
But maybe with his good play in euro basket he could end up getting a taxpayer mid-level exception deal or an even bigger deal than that I don’t know that Schroeder will end up signing for the minimum for this upcoming season but ultimately I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens but I would really like this trade if I was the Lakers because I’m only giving up one first anyway let’s go ahead and let’s continue on here’s another trade scenario where the Lakers had Mike Conley Bojan bogdanovic and Jared Vanderbilt I know some people don’t like the fact that Mike Conley’s deal is longer term.
But I think the fact that the Lakers could add Jared Vanderbilt in this scenario makes the trade worth it and if they wanted to I don’t think they’d have too much trouble trading Mike Conley in the 2023 off-season considering the fact that his deal is not fully guaranteed for the 2023-24 season but adding in two good Wings in Bowie on bogdanovic and Jared Vanderbilt and a point guard who can space the floor at a high level in Mike Conley would definitely be a solid move if you’re the Los Angeles Lakers especially if you’re only trading away one future first-round pick and some second round picks I think that this type of move would definitely be helpful for the Lakers if they are looking to improve their roster ahead of this upcoming season.
Russell Westbrook also did recently list his Los Angeles home up for sale which is interesting considering that this report came out today and yesterday Russell Westbrook ended up listing up his home for sale just something to note it could be something or it could be nothing.
