A Russell Westbrook trade from the Lakers to the heat makes sense according to an MBA executive, so we’re going to get into what a potential trade could look like but the reasoning as to why is that team Executives and Scouts could only come up with one potential landing spot for Westbrook and that was the Miami Heat because they have a history of cultivating fiery competitive players for Manza warning to Brian Grant to Jimmy Butler and the thing is right now it looks like the Lakers aren’t really happy with the offers they have been getting when it comes to potential trades for Russell Westbrook and Brian Windhorst talked about this and said that Executives that he’s talking to believe that the Lakers have come to the conclusion that they are not going to trade Westbrook now.
Because they don’t like any of their offers, and they’re going to make the best of it and see what happens that’s what Executives think, so here’s a potential trade scenario that could work between the Lakers and heed where Russell Westbrook would go to Miami and the Lakers would trade away those two future first-round picks and then Kyle Lowry and Duncan Robinson would join the Los Angeles Lakers the reason why I have the Lakers giving up two future first round picks in this scenario is because it seems like at this point the Lakers don’t really have any trade offers that they really like and maybe it would take two future first round picks to get this done but if I’m the Lakers I’m not so sure about trading to Future first in this trade.
While Kyle Lowry could definitely help out the Lakers he is getting older and I feel like him being on a longer term deal than Westbrook is something that you have to take into account and then Duncan Robinson he is a sharpshooter but on the defensive end he doesn’t bring much at all.
So that’s something you also have to consider as well Robinson can space the floor for you so can Kyle Lowry so from that aspect the Lakers would add more shooting and Kyle Lowry is better defensively then West broke but Lowry is getting older so if the Lakers could opt to have a ton of cap space in 2023 maybe that’s what they’d rather do maybe they’d rather just run it back with Russell Westbrook and then going into the 2023 off season they could have an opportunity to sign a big name free agent with that cap space and improve their roster.
I think that Duncan Robinson and Kyle Lowry would fit well with the Lakers but you do have to consider both of their contracts the length that is on those and things like that but if the Lakers were to make a trade like this I think that it would help them for right now in this upcoming season as they could definitely use the floor spacing that Kyle Lowry and Duncan Robinson could bring but maybe the Lakers are still holding out hope that they can pull off a trade for Kyrie Irving or sign him in 2023 free agency.
