There’s reportedly a decent chance, that the Los Angeles Lakers will be involved in a trade, where Donovan Mitchell goes to the New York Knicks, or another team as Danny Ainge reportedly covets the lakers 2027 and 2029 first round picks.
So with that maybe the lakers could add some veteran talent through a trade, where they get involved in that Donovan Mitchell move, that the Utah Jazz seemingly are looking to make it looks like they’re trying to find the right to trade and get a lot of drafts compensation in that move along with some young talent, maybe getting some of those lakers picks could be another way to help them out as they move towards a rebuild in this trade scenario, the lakers would add Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Malik Beasley and cam reddish.
The knicks would add Donovan Mitchell the lakers would trade away Westbrook, Wendy and Gabriel, and those 2027 in 2029 first and the Utah Jazz would also add Evan Fournier, obi toppin and Immanuel quickly from the knicks, and they get a ton of future picks from New York as well, so when you look at this trade scenario, i feel like for the lakers, you’re adding a lot of shooting you have bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Malik Beasley, cam reddish all guys who can space the floor for you, cam reddish has a high ceiling as a three indie wing, and he even has all-star potential.
If he could reach his ceiling we’ll just have to see, where he could get because we haven’t really seen him in a role, where he could shine, maybe he could make it really far in this league, if he was given the right opportunity and then Bojan Bogdanovic, he’s a good three indie wing, Jordan Clarkson is more of an offensive minded player but once he gets going, and he gets hot he’s one of those guys who can score in bunches and get your team on a run, then Malik Beasley he’s a good floor spacer, he’s solid on the defensive side.
And this move would just overall add a ton of depth for the lakers but i think that the lakers could end up taking back Evan Fournier in a potential trade scenario, fournier is a good three-point shooter but his contract isn’t the best, so i’m not sure if they would want to take on his deal, but at the end of the day if the lakers could add quite a few shooters to their roster some guys who can defend, i feel like that type of trade is something that the lakers should be looking for as training camp continues to approach, and they look for avenues to improve their roster because ultimately.
I think that they need to put more shooting around LeBron James and Anthony Davis they need to put more good defenders around lebron and anthony davis and this trade would definitely accomplish that, if you’re the Los Angeles Lakers as they look to find the right to trade and take their time to make the right move that will help out their roster for this upcoming season.
