For a while it seemed like if the Brooklyn nets ended up trading Kevin Durant, the Los Angeles Lakers could have a good chance to go out there and try to trade for Kyrie Irving.
But recently we got a report that could shake things up for the lakers as they look to try to add Kyrie Irving to their roster, now this Kevin Durant trade request saga has been going on for quite some time now and as it continues to go on we see more, more teams trying to put together trade packages to pull off a trade for Kevin Durant or teams that have been interested trying to go out there and put together a better trade package to add Durant to their roster.
But so far no trade package has been enough as Kevin Durant remains a Brooklyn net but with the New York Knicks in talks with the Utah Jazz about a potential Donovan Mitchell trade, maybe we could finally see things get moving this off season, if a Donovan Mitchell trade happens at least when it comes to a potential Kevin Durant trade but the thing is with Kyrie Irving, it seems like he could end up just running it back with the Brooklyn nets maybe the nets leaked this to shams to try to gain some more leverage.
When it comes to Kyrie Irving but it was reported that the nets have made it clear to interested teams that they plan on keeping Kyrie Irving and that he’s been holding constructive dialogue with the team, it just seems like there have been a lot of teams that have been trying to trade for Kevin Durant but maybe Kyrie Irving just wants to run it back this season, in Brooklyn regardless of what happens with the Kevin Durant situation, and i think that with the lakers trying to add kyrie, if they can’t make it happen prior to training camp they should try to make another move because Russell Westbrook coming back to the team after an off season full of trade rumors, could be really awkward and when you look back to earlier in the off-season it really seemed like the lakers had a chance to add Kyrie Irving and I want to talk about this because I think the lakers did make a mistake here it seems like prior to the LeBron James extension.
The lakers weren’t really willing to give up two future first round picks to add kyrie that really came after LeBron James committed to the team so the lakers need to look to try and make some kind of move to improve that roster going into this upcoming season.
Even if it isn’t trading for kyrie although I do think that they would have had a good chance to try and make a move like that earlier in the off-season if they were willing to include those two future first-round picks it just seems like they might have messed up when it comes to that because the lakers were really the only team out there interested in adding him it seemed like he didn’t want to be in Brooklyn earlier in the off-season it seems like they could have had a good chance to make that type of trade happen but if you want to hear about Juan toscano Anderson who I think was a great addition for the lakers.
